Who actually reads us
TRAVELHIFI readers are people in the act of planning and buying travel: comparing fares, choosing hotels, checking visa rules, and researching gear before spending real money on it. They arrive with intent, which is the quality advertisers actually want and rarely get from general audiences. They are also readers who came here because we verify what we publish, which shapes everything below: the trust that makes this audience valuable is the asset we will not sell, and the rules on this page all exist to protect it, for our sake and for yours.
What we sell
- Display advertising. Standard placements across the site, served through our advertising partners, on desktop and mobile.
- Sponsored content. Paid articles, clearly labelled as sponsored at the top, visually distinct from editorial, and held to our factual standards: sponsorship buys placement, not the right to publish false claims on our domain.
- Newsletter and section sponsorship. Where available, sponsorship of a section or dispatch, labelled as such, with the sponsor named plainly.
For current availability, formats and pricing, write to support@travelhifi.com with ADVERTISING as the first word of the subject, and an editor will send the details. Yes, the advertising mail goes to the same inbox as everything else; on a team this size, that is a feature, and it means your enquiry is read by someone with actual authority.
How sponsored content is labelled
Sponsored material carries the label at the top, in words a reader cannot misread, not in grey type below the fold. It is excluded from editorial sections and never dressed as a news story, a deal post or a review. The editors who write our coverage of a category do not write sponsored content for that category, and sponsored posts never carry our review verdicts or scores. If your campaign depends on readers mistaking your content for our editorial, we are the wrong site, and we say that here to save us both an email exchange.
What we refuse
We turn down money in categories where the advertising itself preys on travellers, including:
- Visa mills and services impersonating official government application channels, or charging steep markups for forms governments provide cheaply or free.
- Fake or misleadingly named booking and refund services, and anything resembling a travel scam we would warn readers about in our safety coverage.
- Counterfeit or infringing gear.
- Advertising that misrepresents prices, availability or the advertiser’s identity.
We also reserve the right to refuse any campaign that conflicts with the interests of our readers, without further justification, because the readers were here first.
What your money does not buy
This is the section that makes the rest credible, so it is specific. Advertising with TRAVELHIFI does not buy:
- Coverage, or the promise of coverage, of your product, route, property or destination.
- A favourable review, a softened review, or advance sight of any review or story.
- Protection from critical reporting, or a phone call before it publishes beyond the right of reply every subject gets.
- A place in our deal posts or gear recommendations, which are chosen by editors who do not know who is advertising.
- Removal or editing of past coverage.
These rules are not posture; they are the published editorial standards every editor here works under, and advertisers who test them get one polite explanation and then a refund.
Serving, privacy and how to book
Display advertising is served through partner networks, and personalised advertising runs only for readers who have consented through our cookie banner, as described in the cookie policy and privacy policy. Advertisers receive standard aggregate campaign reporting, never reader-level data from us. To start, mail support@travelhifi.com with ADVERTISING in the subject, tell us who you are, what you want to promote and roughly when, and you will get a straight answer, including a fast no if the fit is wrong.
